Jaya Prakash Narayan
Jaya Prakash Narayan, often referred to as JP, was an influential Indian independence activist and political leader. Born on October 11, 1902, in Bihar, he played a significant role in the struggle against British rule. He was a key figure in the Quit India Movement of 1942 and later became a prominent advocate for social justice and democracy in India.
In the 1970s, JP led the Total Revolution movement, which aimed to bring about political and social change. His efforts inspired many young people and contributed to the rise of the Janata Party, which challenged the ruling Indian National Congress. Jaya Prakash Narayan passed away on October 8, 1979, leaving a lasting legacy in Indian politics.
