Isabella II of France
Isabella II of France was a French princess born in 1292, the daughter of Philip IV of France and Joan I of Navarre. She became Queen of England through her marriage to Edward II of England in 1308, which was part of a political alliance between France and England. Isabella was known for her beauty and intelligence.
Isabella's life took a dramatic turn when she became involved in the political struggles of her time. In 1325, she traveled to England to negotiate peace but instead became a key figure in a rebellion against her husband. This led to the deposition of Edward II and the rise of her son, Edward III of England.
