Infante Carlos of Bourbon
Infante Carlos of Bourbon, born on March 29, 1788, was a Spanish nobleman and a member of the House of Bourbon. He was the son of Infante Luis of Spain and María Teresa de Borbón. Carlos is known for his claim to the Spanish throne during the early 19th century, particularly during the Carlist Wars, which were a series of civil wars in Spain over succession issues.
Carlos was a key figure in the Carlist movement, which sought to establish a traditionalist monarchy in Spain. His supporters, known as Carlists, opposed the liberal policies of the reigning government. Carlos's claims and the resulting conflicts significantly influenced Spanish politics and society during that era.
