Infanta Margarita Teresa
Infanta Margarita Teresa was a Spanish princess born on July 12, 1651, in Madrid. She was the daughter of King Philip IV of Spain and Mariana of Austria. Margarita became a prominent figure in the Spanish royal court and was known for her beauty and grace.
Margarita is famously depicted in the painting "Las Meninas" by Diego Velázquez, which showcases her alongside various members of the royal household. She was engaged to her cousin, Leopoldo I, Holy Roman Emperor, but died at a young age on March 12, 1673, before the marriage could take place.
