Indonesian Nationalist Party
The Indonesian Nationalist Party, known as Partai Nasional Indonesia (PNI), was founded in 1927 by Sukarno and other nationalists. Its primary goal was to promote Indonesian independence from Dutch colonial rule. The party played a significant role in the struggle for independence, advocating for national unity and self-determination.
After Indonesia declared independence in 1945, the PNI became a major political force. It participated in the formation of the first Indonesian government and contributed to the country's early political landscape. Over the years, the party has undergone various transformations but remains a symbol of Indonesia's nationalist movement.
