Hypospadias
Hypospadias is a congenital condition in which the opening of the urethra is not located at the tip of the penis. Instead, the urethral opening can be found on the underside of the penis, which may vary in position. This condition affects males and can range from mild to severe, depending on how far the opening is from its normal location.
The exact cause of hypospadias is not fully understood, but it is believed to involve a combination of genetic and environmental factors. Treatment typically involves surgery, which is usually performed during infancy or early childhood, to correct the position of the urethral opening and improve function.
