Hydrosols
Hydrosols are aromatic water solutions created during the steam distillation of essential oils. When plant materials, such as flowers or herbs, are steamed, the steam captures their volatile compounds. Once cooled, the steam condenses back into water, resulting in a fragrant liquid that contains both water-soluble and some essential oil components.
These natural products are often used in aromatherapy, skincare, and culinary applications. Unlike essential oils, which are highly concentrated, hydrosols are gentler and can be used directly on the skin or in recipes. They offer a subtle scent and therapeutic benefits while being safe for a wider range of uses.
