Floral Waters
Floral waters, also known as hydrosols, are aromatic waters produced during the steam distillation of essential oils from flowers and plants. They contain the water-soluble components of the plant, making them gentler than essential oils. Common examples include rose water and lavender water, which are often used in cosmetics and culinary applications.
These waters retain the fragrance and therapeutic properties of the original plant, making them popular in skincare for their soothing and hydrating effects. Floral waters can also be used in aromatherapy, as natural room fresheners, or as flavoring agents in various dishes and beverages.
