Human Rights Commissions
Human Rights Commissions are independent bodies established to promote and protect human rights within a country. They investigate complaints of human rights violations, provide recommendations for policy changes, and raise public awareness about human rights issues. These commissions often work to ensure that the rights outlined in international agreements, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, are upheld.
In many countries, Human Rights Commissions also play a role in educating the public about their rights and the importance of respecting the rights of others. They may conduct research, hold public hearings, and collaborate with other organizations to address systemic issues related to discrimination, inequality, and injustice.
