Hola Mohalla
Hola Mohalla is a vibrant Sikh festival celebrated primarily in Punjab, India. It takes place the day after Holi, the Hindu festival of colors, and showcases the martial spirit of the Sikh community. The event features various activities, including traditional music, dance, and mock battles, emphasizing bravery and valor.
The festival was initiated by Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru, in the late 17th century. It serves as a time for Sikhs to come together, celebrate their heritage, and engage in community service. Participants often display their skills in gatka, a form of martial arts, and enjoy festive foods.
