Guru Gobind Singh
Guru Gobind Singh was the tenth and final Guru of the Sikh religion, born in 1666 in Patna, India. He is known for his leadership during a time of political turmoil and for his efforts to protect the rights of the oppressed. Guru Gobind Singh established the Khalsa, a collective body of initiated Sikhs, in 1699, promoting values of equality, justice, and courage.
In addition to his role as a spiritual leader, Guru Gobind Singh was also a poet and warrior. He authored several hymns and texts, including the Dasam Granth, which reflects his teachings and philosophy. His legacy continues to inspire millions of Sikhs around the world.
