Henry Percy
Henry Percy, also known as Hotspur, was a prominent English nobleman and military leader during the late 14th and early 15th centuries. Born around 1364, he was the son of Henry Percy, 1st Earl of Northumberland. Hotspur gained fame for his bravery in battles, particularly during the Hundred Years' War and the Scottish Wars.
He is best known for his role in the Percy Rebellion against King Henry IV in 1403. Hotspur's ambition and desire for power led to his involvement in this conflict, which ultimately resulted in his death at the Battle of Shrewsbury. His legacy endures in literature, notably in Shakespeare's play, "Henry IV."
