Hanukkah menorahs
A Hanukkah menorah, also known as a hanukkiah, is a special candelabrum used during the Jewish festival of Hanukkah. It has nine branches: eight for each night of the holiday and one, called the shamash, used to light the others. The menorah is typically lit after sunset, with one candle added each night until all are lit on the final evening.
The lighting of the menorah commemorates the miracle of the oil that lasted eight days in the Second Temple of Jerusalem. Menorahs can be made from various materials, including metal, glass, and ceramic, and they often feature decorative designs that reflect Jewish culture and tradition.
