Hàm Nghi
Hàm Nghi was the 8th emperor of the Nguyễn Dynasty in Vietnam, reigning from 1884 to 1885. He is known for his resistance against French colonial rule, particularly during the early years of French occupation. His reign was marked by efforts to restore Vietnamese sovereignty and national pride.
In 1885, after a brief but impactful reign, Hàm Nghi was deposed by the French and went into exile. He later became a symbol of Vietnamese nationalism and resistance. His legacy continues to inspire movements for independence and self-determination in Vietnam.
