Emperor Duy Tân
Emperor Duy Tân was the 11th emperor of the Nguyễn Dynasty in Vietnam, reigning from 1907 to 1916. Born on April 19, 1897, he ascended to the throne at a young age after the abdication of his father, Emperor Gia Long. His reign was marked by attempts to modernize the country and resist French colonial rule.
However, Duy Tân's efforts faced significant challenges, including political instability and opposition from the French authorities. In 1916, he was deposed and exiled to Réunion Island, where he lived until his death on December 26, 1947. His reign remains a notable period in Vietnamese history.
