Gustav V of Sweden
Gustav V of Sweden was born on June 16, 1858, and became king in 1907, reigning until his death in 1950. He was the son of Oscar II and Sophia of Nassau. His reign saw significant political changes, including the rise of democracy in Sweden and the establishment of a parliamentary system.
During his time as king, Gustav V was known for his interest in sports, particularly tennis, and he even participated in matches. He also played a role in international diplomacy, especially during World War I, where he maintained Sweden's neutrality.
