Greek Spirits
Greek spirits are alcoholic beverages that have been an integral part of Greek culture for centuries. The most famous among them is ouzo, an anise-flavored liqueur often enjoyed as an aperitif. Another popular spirit is tsipouro, a strong distilled drink made from grape pomace, typically served with meze, or small dishes.
In addition to these, raki is a traditional spirit similar to ouzo, especially popular in the Aegean region. Metaxa is a unique blend of brandy and wine, known for its smooth taste. These spirits are often enjoyed during social gatherings and celebrations, reflecting the rich heritage of Greece.
