George I, Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont
George I, Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont was a German nobleman born on April 1, 1747. He became the ruling prince of the small principality of Waldeck-Pyrmont in 1812. His reign was marked by efforts to modernize the region and improve the welfare of his subjects.
He was a member of the House of Waldeck, a family with a long history in the region. George I ruled until his death on June 28, 1813, and was succeeded by his son, George II. His leadership contributed to the stability and development of Waldeck-Pyrmont during a time of significant change in Europe.
