Geography of Nepal
Nepal is a landlocked country located in South Asia, bordered by China to the north and India to the south, east, and west. The country is known for its diverse geography, which includes the towering Himalayas, home to Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world. The terrain ranges from flat plains in the southern region, known as the Terai, to rugged mountains and hills in the north.
The climate and biodiversity of Nepal vary significantly due to its elevation changes. The lowland areas experience a subtropical climate, while the mountainous regions have a colder alpine climate. This diversity supports a wide range of flora and fauna, making Nepal a unique ecological zone.
