Generalized Seizures
Generalized seizures are a type of seizure that affects both sides of the brain simultaneously. They can cause a variety of symptoms, including loss of consciousness, muscle stiffness, and convulsions. These seizures can occur without warning and may last from a few seconds to several minutes.
There are several types of generalized seizures, including tonic-clonic seizures, which involve muscle rigidity and jerking movements, and absence seizures, characterized by brief lapses in awareness. Treatment often includes medications, lifestyle changes, and in some cases, surgery to help manage the condition effectively.
