Gaius Lutatius Catulus
Gaius Lutatius Catulus was a prominent Roman general and politician during the late Roman Republic. He is best known for his role in the First Punic War, where he commanded the Roman fleet and achieved a significant victory at the Battle of Lilybaeum in 241 BC. This victory helped secure Roman dominance over Sicily and marked the end of the war.
