Franz Balthasar Neumann
Franz Balthasar Neumann (1687-1753) was a prominent German architect and engineer known for his contributions to the Baroque style. He is best recognized for his work on the Würzburg Residence, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which showcases his innovative use of space and light. Neumann's designs often combined grandeur with intricate details, making him a key figure in 18th-century architecture.
In addition to the Würzburg Residence, Neumann designed several other notable buildings, including the Basilica of the Fourteen Holy Helpers and the Church of St. John Nepomuk in Bavaria.
