Florentine Steak
Florentine Steak, or Bistecca alla Fiorentina, is a traditional Tuscan dish made from a thick cut of Chianina beef, known for its tenderness and flavor. Typically, the steak is grilled over high heat, resulting in a charred exterior while keeping the inside rare to medium-rare. It is often seasoned simply with salt, pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil.
This iconic dish is usually served on the bone and can weigh up to 2.5 kilograms (about 5.5 pounds). Florentine Steak is often accompanied by side dishes like roasted potatoes or a fresh salad, making it a popular choice for special occasions and gatherings.
