Floral Water
Floral water, also known as hydrosol, is a byproduct of the steam distillation process used to extract essential oils from flowers. It contains the water-soluble components of the plant, along with trace amounts of essential oils, giving it a subtle fragrance and beneficial properties. Common examples include rose water and lavender water.
Floral waters are often used in cosmetics, skincare, and culinary applications. They can be applied directly to the skin as a toner, added to bathwater for relaxation, or used as a flavoring in various dishes. Their gentle nature makes them suitable for all skin types.
