Flag of Palestine
The Flag of Palestine features three horizontal stripes of black, white, and green, with a red triangle on the left side. The black stripe represents the Black Standard of the Abbasid Caliphate, the white symbolizes the Umayyad Caliphate, and the green stands for the Fatimid Caliphate. The red triangle signifies the blood shed for freedom and the struggle for independence.
Adopted in 1964, the flag is a symbol of Palestinian identity and nationalism. It is used by the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and is recognized internationally as a representation of the Palestinian people and their aspirations for statehood.
