Flag of Egypt
The Flag of Egypt features three horizontal stripes of red, white, and black. The red stripe at the top symbolizes the struggle against oppression, the white stripe in the middle represents peace, and the black stripe at the bottom signifies the end of colonialism. In the center of the white stripe is the Eagle of Saladin, a national emblem that represents strength and courage.
Adopted on October 4, 1984, the flag's design is rooted in the Pan-Arab colors, which are commonly used in the flags of several Arab nations. The Eagle of Saladin is depicted in gold, further emphasizing Egypt's rich history and cultural heritage.
