Ferdinand of Bourbon
Ferdinand of Bourbon was a Spanish prince born on December 14, 1751, in Madrid. He was the son of Charles III of Spain and Maria Amalia of Saxony. Ferdinand became the Duke of Calabria and was known for his interest in the arts and sciences. He played a significant role in the political landscape of Spain during his lifetime.
In 1788, Ferdinand ascended to the throne as Ferdinand VI of Spain after the death of his father. His reign was marked by political turmoil, including the Peninsular War and the influence of Napoleon Bonaparte. Ferdinand's rule ended in 1833, and he is remembered for his efforts to restore the monarchy in Spain.
