Federal Districts of Russia
The Federal Districts of Russia are administrative regions that help manage the vast territory of the country. There are eight federal districts, each overseen by a presidential envoy who coordinates federal authority and regional governance. These districts include the Central Federal District, Southern Federal District, North Caucasian Federal District, Volga Federal District, Ural Federal District, Siberian Federal District, Far Eastern Federal District, and Northwestern Federal District.
Each federal district encompasses several federal subjects, which can be republics, territories, regions, cities of federal significance, or autonomous areas. This structure allows for more efficient administration and governance, ensuring that local needs are addressed while maintaining national unity.
