Faisal II of Iraq
Faisal II of Iraq was the last king of Iraq, reigning from 1939 until his overthrow in 1958. Born on May 2, 1935, he became king at just four years old after the assassination of his father, King Ghazi. His reign was marked by political instability and increasing tensions between various factions in Iraq.
Faisal II was educated in England and returned to Iraq to assume more responsibilities as he grew older. His rule ended when a military coup led by Abdul Karim Qasim resulted in his assassination, along with other members of the royal family, marking the end of the monarchy in Iraq.
