Faisal I
Faisal I was the King of Iraq from 1921 until his death in 1933. He played a significant role in establishing the modern Iraqi state after the end of Ottoman rule following World War I. Faisal was a member of the Hashemite family and was initially the King of Syria for a brief period before being appointed as the king of Iraq by the British.
