Enclaves
An enclave is a distinct area or territory that is completely surrounded by another territory. This can occur within countries or cities, where a smaller region is isolated by a different political or cultural environment. Enclaves can arise due to historical, political, or geographical reasons, and they often have unique characteristics that set them apart from their surrounding areas.
One well-known example of an enclave is Vatican City, which is an independent city-state entirely surrounded by Rome, Italy. Another example is Lesotho, a country that is an enclave within South Africa. Enclaves can present challenges in terms of governance, access, and cultural integration.
