Eadgifu of England
Eadgifu of England was a noblewoman born around 1000 AD, known for her role in the royal lineage of England. She was the daughter of Æthelred the Unready, the King of England, and Emma of Normandy. Eadgifu married Cnut, the Danish king, which helped to strengthen ties between the English and Danish crowns.
Eadgifu had two children, Harold Harefoot and Harthacnut, both of whom became kings of England. Her marriage to Cnut was significant in the context of the Viking Age, as it marked a period of political consolidation in England following the Danish conquest.
