Duke Albrecht II of Bavaria
Duke Albrecht II of Bavaria was a member of the House of Wittelsbach, born in 1401. He ruled as Duke of Bavaria from 1438 until his death in 1460. Albrecht II is known for his efforts to strengthen the duchy and maintain its independence during a time of political turmoil in the Holy Roman Empire.
He was also involved in various military campaigns and alliances, notably against the Habsburgs. Albrecht II's reign contributed to the consolidation of power in Bavaria, and he played a significant role in the region's governance and development during the late Middle Ages.
