Duchess Louise of Saxe-Meiningen was born on December 7, 1866, in Meiningen, Germany. She was a member of the House of Saxe-Meiningen and the daughter of Duke Georg II of Saxe-Meiningen and Princess Marie of Hohenlohe-Langenburg.
