Duchess Louise of Saxe-Meiningen
Duchess Louise of Saxe-Meiningen was born on December 7, 1866, in Meiningen, Germany. She was a member of the House of Saxe-Meiningen and the daughter of Duke Georg II of Saxe-Meiningen and Princess Marie of Hohenlohe-Langenburg. Louise became known for her charitable work and support of the arts during her time as duchess.
In 1883, she married Prince Ernst of Hohenlohe-Langenburg, further connecting the two noble families. Louise's life was marked by her dedication to social causes, and she played a significant role in promoting cultural activities in her region until her death on March 22, 1953.
