Districts of Mongolia
Mongolia is divided into 21 provinces, known as aimags, and the capital city, Ulaanbaatar. Each aimag is further subdivided into districts, called sums. These districts serve as administrative units, helping to manage local governance and services.
The districts vary in size and population, with some being more urbanized, like those surrounding Ulaanbaatar, while others are rural and sparsely populated. Each sum has its own local government, which is responsible for community needs, infrastructure, and development within the district.
