Diamond Mining
Diamond mining is the process of extracting diamonds from the earth. Diamonds are formed deep within the Earth's mantle under high pressure and temperature over millions of years. Miners locate diamond deposits through exploration and then use various methods, such as open-pit mining or underground mining, to extract the precious stones.
Once extracted, the diamonds are sorted and graded based on their size, color, clarity, and cut. This grading process helps determine their value in the market. After sorting, the diamonds are often sent to gemological laboratories for certification before being sold to retailers or directly to consumers.
