Darug People
The Darug People are an Indigenous Australian group from the region now known as New South Wales. They have a rich cultural heritage, with a deep connection to the land and its resources. Traditionally, the Darug People engaged in hunting, fishing, and gathering, utilizing their extensive knowledge of the local environment.
Their language, also called Darug, is part of the larger Pama-Nyungan language family. The Darug People have a strong spiritual connection to their ancestral lands, which includes significant sites and stories that are integral to their identity.
