Dame Mary Peters
Dame Mary Peters is a retired British athlete known for her achievements in the sport of athletics, particularly in the pentathlon and long jump. Born on July 6, 1939, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, she gained international fame after winning a gold medal at the 1972 Munich Olympics.
