Constance of Castile
Constance of Castile was a Spanish princess born in 1154, the daughter of King Alfonso VII of León and Castile and Berenguela of Barcelona. She became the queen consort of King Henry II of England through her marriage in 1170, which aimed to strengthen ties between England and Spain.
Constance's marriage produced several children, including Richard I of England and John of England. After her husband's death in 1189, she returned to Spain, where she played a role in the political landscape of the time. Constance passed away in 1198, leaving a legacy through her descendants.
