Cochimí Language
The Cochimí language is an indigenous language that was historically spoken by the Cochimí people in the Baja California region of Mexico. It belongs to the Yuman language family and is characterized by its unique phonetic and grammatical structures.
Today, the Cochimí language is considered critically endangered, with very few fluent speakers remaining. Efforts are being made to document and revitalize the language, as it holds significant cultural and historical importance for the Cochimí community and the broader understanding of indigenous languages in the Americas.
