Cochimí People
The Cochimí people are an indigenous group native to the Baja California Peninsula in Mexico. Historically, they lived in small, semi-nomadic communities, relying on fishing, hunting, and gathering for sustenance. Their culture is rich in traditions, including unique crafts and spiritual beliefs tied to the natural environment.
Today, the Cochimí face challenges related to cultural preservation and land rights. Many descendants continue to advocate for recognition and the revitalization of their language and customs. Efforts are being made to document their history and promote awareness of their heritage within the broader context of indigenous rights in Mexico.
