Chillianwala
Chillianwala is a historical site located in the Punjab region of Pakistan. It is best known for the Battle of Chillianwala, which took place on January 13, 1849, during the Second Anglo-Sikh War. The battle was fought between the British East India Company and the forces of the Sikh Empire, led by General Hari Singh Nalwa.
The battle ended in a tactical stalemate, with heavy casualties on both sides. Despite the initial setback, the British eventually succeeded in their campaign against the Sikhs, leading to the annexation of the Punjab region. Today, Chillianwala is remembered for its significance in British colonial history.
