Chikoo
Chikoo, also known as sapodilla, is a sweet, brown fruit native to Central America and the Caribbean. It has a soft, grainy texture and a flavor reminiscent of brown sugar or pear. The fruit is typically round or oval and can be eaten fresh or used in desserts, smoothies, and other dishes.
The chikoo tree is evergreen and can grow up to 30 feet tall. It thrives in tropical and subtropical climates, requiring well-drained soil and plenty of sunlight. In addition to its delicious fruit, the tree produces a latex known as chicle, which was historically used to make chewing gum.
