Charles X of France
Charles X of France was born on October 9, 1757, and became the King of France in 1824. He was the last monarch from the Bourbon dynasty to rule France. His reign was marked by attempts to restore the absolute monarchy and promote conservative policies, which led to growing discontent among the populace.
In 1830, Charles X's unpopular decisions, including the July Ordinances that restricted voting rights, sparked the July Revolution. This uprising forced him to abdicate the throne, leading to the establishment of the more liberal July Monarchy under Louis-Philippe. Charles X then went into exile, living in various countries until his death in 1836.
