Charles, Duke Of Berry
Charles, Duke of Berry (1686-1714), was a French nobleman and member of the royal family. He was the son of Louis, Grand Dauphin and Maria Anna of Bavaria, making him a grandson of King Louis XIV of France. Charles was known for his involvement in the court of Versailles and his role in the political landscape of France during his lifetime.
Despite his noble status, Charles faced challenges, including health issues and a lack of political power. He was married to Marie Louise Élisabeth de France, a daughter of King Louis XV, but their union did not produce surviving heirs. Charles died young, leaving behind a legacy tied to the complexities of French royal lineage.
