Maria Anna of Bavaria
Maria Anna of Bavaria was born on September 27, 1738, in Munich, Bavaria. She was a member of the House of Wittelsbach and became the Queen of Portugal by marriage to King Joseph I of Portugal in 1760. Her marriage was part of a political alliance between Bavaria and Portugal.
As queen, Maria Anna played a significant role in the royal court and was known for her charitable works. She had several children, but her reign was marked by the challenges of her husband's health issues and the political turmoil in Portugal during the 18th century. Maria Anna passed away on May 14, 1816.
