Champurrado
Champurrado is a traditional Mexican drink made from masa, which is ground corn dough, mixed with water or milk. It is flavored with cinnamon and sweetened with piloncillo, a type of unrefined cane sugar. The drink is often enjoyed during the colder months and is commonly served alongside tamales.
This thick, warm beverage is a variation of atole, another corn-based drink, but with the addition of chocolate. Champurrado is popular during celebrations, especially on Día de los Muertos and Christmas, providing comfort and warmth to those who enjoy it.
