Cement Manufacturing
Cement manufacturing involves the production of cement, a key ingredient in concrete. The process begins with the extraction of raw materials, primarily limestone and clay, which are crushed and mixed. This mixture is then heated in a kiln at high temperatures to form clinker, a nodular material.
After cooling, the clinker is ground into a fine powder and mixed with other materials, such as gypsum, to control the setting time. The final product, cement, is then packaged for distribution and used in various construction projects, providing strength and durability to structures.
