Bryndza Cheese
Bryndza cheese is a soft, tangy cheese made primarily from sheep's milk, although cow's milk can also be used. It is a traditional cheese in several Central and Eastern European countries, particularly in Slovakia, Poland, and Romania. The cheese has a crumbly texture and a distinct flavor, often described as salty and slightly sour.
Typically used in various dishes, Bryndza is popular in salads, spreads, and as a filling for pastries. It is also a key ingredient in the traditional Slovak dish called bryndzové halušky, which consists of potato dumplings topped with the cheese and served with bacon.
