Bohemian History
Bohemian history refers to the historical developments in the region of Bohemia, which is now part of the Czech Republic. This area has been inhabited since prehistoric times and became a significant center of culture and politics in the Holy Roman Empire. The Kingdom of Bohemia emerged in the 9th century, and its capital, Prague, became a vital hub for trade and education.
Throughout the centuries, Bohemia experienced various influences, including Hussitism in the 15th century and the Austro-Hungarian Empire in the 19th century. The region played a crucial role in the Czech National Revival during the 19th century, leading to the establishment of an independent Czechoslovakia in 1918.
